Vista Nova Renaissance Community is most appropriate for blind and low vision adults who have the interest and capability of living independently in a community. However individuals capable of living on their own but in need of in home support services are still eligible for residency. Contracts and supervision of caregivers or social workers is managed by the tenant and not the responsibility of Vista Nova Renaissance Community.Vista Nova Renaissance Community is a residence that is not licensed or staffed with the personnel to accommodate the needs of an assisted care population.
Rental terms are monthly. Rents are due by the 3rd of each month. Payments received on the 10th or later are delinquent and subject to a 10% penalty. Rent for the month following the person's initial move in date will be prorated.
Residents terminating their lease must give a thirty day notice or forfeit their security. The tenant's security deposit CAN NOT BE USED FOR LAST MONTH'S RENT. Residents must pay rent while occupying the apartment. All personal property must be removed from the unit when residents terminate their lease and the keys must be returned to the executive director. Residents who must leave temporarily, such as for medical reasons must continue to pay full rent.
Smoking is not permitted in the apartment units, or common public areas such as the lounge, dining room, kitchen or the director's office. Smoking is permitted in designated outdoor spaces.
Verbal or Physical abuse of tenants, staff or a display of inappropriate behavior in public spaces will result in the immediate termination of the rental lease.
Conducting or participating in any activity that is illegal is grounds for the immediate termination of the rental contract between the resident and Vista Nova Renaissance Community. Infractions of any of the above rules may result in the immediate termination of the lease and sufficient cause for eviction.
